I'm thinking Mike Tyson would be fairly unmistakable?
At work mu boss and I approve meeting room requests. Anything that's basically a meeting is free; anything that's a social event (birthday parties, baby showers) incurs a $50 fee. Friday someone submitted a request to book our large fancy meeting room on a Saturday from 9-5:30 for 75 people. The event description was, in total: "Casual meeting for babies."
We laughed a lot imagining this event.
You know babies -- you really have to convince them if you don't want them to use Robert's Rules of Order.
After not doing anything at all yesterday until going out to dinner and the movies, I am getting things done today! Nothing major, but laundry, dishes, groceries, etc.
I'm relaxing after my sister's visit and getting my apartment ready for my sister's visit. (The last part was far more taxing than the former.) She came in on Friday and left today, but we made the most of Saturday. I took Sis on a tour of the campus where I work, we got pedicures, we went on a county-wise art studio tour, we ate tapas, caught an improv show at a local arts center, and then grabbed a late dessert. Today, I lounge! OK, I also do laundry. But mostly I lounge.
Damnit. I couldn't budge the cutoff valve, so I guess I'm not draining the expansion tank myself.
Timelies all!
Back from Philcon. Unfortunately, Gary had to turn around and leave for a business trip. This is the third one in four weeks. Meanwhile, Mr. S is alternately being upset that daddy is gone, and being his usual rambunctious self. Sigh...
I went to Goodwill and bought three long-sleeved black t-shirts, which I'm pretty excited about.
I went and saw Murder on the Orient Express with my mom. It was okay. Glad to have seen it in a matinee at a theater with fancy recliners.
Another afternoon napped away. Stupid cold.
Stupid cold.
I spent last evening hunched over my stove, inhaling steam. It worked; I slept better last night than I did the previous three taking NyQuil.
