I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, hey, hit the same point where I have previously given up in validating this person's expense. Too bad I have another two hours of work, because it is still making me want to give up.

Okay, apparently the Senate GOP leadership has called on Moore to resign if the allegations are true.

They seem to be accepting his saying the allegations are not true. Not getting much credit for that from me.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I am semi-hopeful that Louis CK might come through with a good apology...

I've seen enough of his standup to know that the accusations are fairly consistent his self-described behavior.

What's extra tricky is that he's got a movie in the pipeline about a Woody Allen type director who is accused of sexual harassment.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

They've cancelled the premiere of the movie.

ION, Matilda got her first MIddle School report card and it's the best one she's ever had!

Five A's and one B. She even got an A in Math! I talked to another parent about it and apparently the grades for the first term are mostly based upon turning in your homework, which, God-knows, she has been very diligent about doing even when we're all stressed out about it at 9pm at night.

(Though I also know her tests in Math have been good, and she's been a lot of writing and bigger team projects. But she excels at the teamwork stuff.)

She didn't get letter grades in elementary school but she never was evaluated to be in the top tier (or, Above Standards) until the end of the year and then only a scattering of such grades. Usually struggling more in Math.

Also, her peer group includes all the high achieving girls at her school so she never felt like she was doing particularly well. But so far so good in Middle School. She sent Emmett a photo of her report card and he was very proud of her, which definitely gave her a boost.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Good job, Matilda (and parents)!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I'm sorry for your loss, Suzi!

Way to go, Matilda!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Woo hoo, Matilda!
