I'm finally watching The Daily Show live coverage of the election. This may lead to crying in my glass of Sauvignon Blanc.
I erased it. I just can't deal with it. Maybe if it was Jon Stewart.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

I am inspired by the youth and children y'all know being distraught by this election. I hope they hold on to that. Mac hasn't expressed that he even knows the election happened, much less any concern. I cry each night thinking of what the next 4 years might devolve into for him (and my brother, and my parents, and so many of my friends) and he doesn't know or care to know, which makes me weep in a different way.
Tonight I had a volunteer commitment at church and I have another one in the morning. I feel very conflicted being there and I really think this is the end for me and church.
So I finally went in for the test drive of the Elantra and it turns out they sold it yesterday and didn't tell me. I was less than pleased. The salesman (who was a different person than the one I had been communicating with) was extremely apologetic and showed me a 2015 SE they had. Still CPO, but a year older and with almost 30k more miles on it but only 1K less than the 2016 I was interested in. I did actually like it, but it wasn't the car I was looking at and not nearly as good of a deal. I told him I'd let him know.
I have the test drive of the Accord tomorrow. Hopefully that will go smoother.
I finally watched Sam Bee's coverage today.
Also, I went on FB, and then checked in with myself, and I still definitely hate everyone.
Ugh. I hope it goes better Kalshane.
[delurking] I think taking financial care of yourself is a good idea. I have no faith in Trump's economic plans and think re-viewing your long-term financial plans is a good idea. Personally I want to do what I can to save on my taxes and then give those moneys to organizations that are going to be shafted by the new Republication administration. I know Planned Parenthood has been mentioned, but also public broadcasting and foreign aid organizations like Doctors Without Borders.
Wait, Robert Vaughn died?
Sam Bee's coverage is well worth watching.
{{{Pix}}} I'm sorry you are in such a tough situation, hon.
Mmm, garlicky chicken, that sounds fantastic.
Oh msbelle. I hope it isn't as bad as all that, Mac-caring-wise. Who knows what is going on in his head? That he's not expressing concerns to you doesn't really mean that much, does it? Remembering my teen years. And, of all things, Clockers, but it's a scene that has stuck in my head.
I wish I could reassure you about the reality of the near future. And I'm sorry about church.
I am drinking chardonnay but not watching the Daily Show or John Oliver or any other election coverage. I've taken to just turning off the radio when I drive. Still in denial, really.

That's smart. bennett.
