Congratulations, Burrell! Buffistas in power, rar!
Filled out the visa applications for the trip to Tanzania tonight. So excite!
Except I made the bookstore owner cry today: she didn't know about my BIL, and he used to go in there pretty regularly (it's right near both our offices). Sigh.
That's amazing, Burrell!
We lost at least one house to a cash offer for $75K over asking. The second house will most likely be going to someone who made a lower offer but offered more than $300K down. So yeah.
AND I'm going to Hawaii in a couple days for a conference
t perks up
It's Oahu, isn't it? It's always Oahu. Congrats, though!
Boo, Pix. I hope the housing gods smile on you guys sooner than later.
Thanks everybody
Yep Debet, it's Oahu. I've only been to the Big Island.
And ugh PIx, that's maddening. It seems like the only way to have more than $300K to put down is to already have a home. In which case you clearly need it more than they do. Arrrgh.
Congratulations Burrell!
I'm so sorry to hear about your father, Jesse. My sympathies.
Great news, Burrell!
Delighted with the election news. Roll blue tide.
Right on, Burrell!
As per usual, about half of the candidates I voted for were elected. Though in the case of the mayoral race and a ton of city council members, the majority were democrats anyway, so we're still fairly blue.
All the tax levies for social services were renewed, which makes me happy. If the federal government is trying to screw over people who need help, at least our local government is doing some good.
Oh! This amuses me: apparently my subconscious brain went WAY old school last night, because I had a dream that Clark Gable was flirting with me.
Congratulations, Burrell!
It was nice to wake up to largely good election news this morning.
