I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

House-ma, guys.

Husband has a job interview tomorrow. It may come to nothing, of course. They want someone in the head office, but could be at any office location. But we don't have a company name or location. I am deeply ambivalent about the possibility of moving again. OTOH, employment. I work from home, so it doesn't really matter for me (unless we end up in a different time zone, I guess, which could turn my 7AM meetings into 5AM meetings).

They're paying relocation. I know I shouldn't stress until we have more actual information, but it's hard not to.

The status is NOT quo.

Peace -ma to Barbara and to you, Bonny.

Crossing fingers, Dana!

Thanks all! Now we wait...and go to more open houses and probably put in more offers because LA.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

He has to go into the interview not knowing what company the job is with? That seems strange. Good luck to him, regardless.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Shortly after I'd placed my order, CL had a mad rush of people, new and regulars. Including a dude here for a 6 week med school rotation who turns out is from NM too and just randomly saw this place around the corner from where they put him up. He had been missing the food & I was all, this will fix you up! You miss posole? She has awesome posole, you can get it to go as well. She gave him a taste & he left with his tacos, posole & told Ro she's feeding him for the rest of his stint here. Convinced another newbie to try the sopes and the guy ordering a quesadilla to go with the handmade corn tortilla. And explained what stuff was to some other newbies (nopales, rajas, crema, sopes, posole.)

Ro always insists I sit at the counter where you order so we can chat, but we really didn't get to this time. As I left, she told me I hafta sit at the counter no matter what, I'm good for business:)

Good luck with the real estate maneuvering, Pix. That house & view is lovely, even the older kitchen. It's classic.

Peacefulness, Bonny.

The status is NOT quo.

We had the highest offer, but the buyers are worried the house won't appraise high enough, in which case we'd have to renegotiate — they are trying to close their own escrow on a new house, and it's contingent on them closing this one, so I get why they are concerned. They have a lower offer from people who offered 50% cash up front, so... yeah. We will probably lose it since we can't take the chance of waiving appraisal and getting into a situation where our loan wouldn't go through.

But we are putting in an offer on this place tomorrow morning — it's big and beautiful, but we would need a roommate to cover costs, and it's not in our ideal location. Oh, house-buying in LA. Why.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I slept 12 hours last night and I am already tired tonight. Makes no sense. I guess my body thinks it is almost 10 and that is normal bed time, so I will just go with it.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I got tired early tonight, too, and I'm already in bed. DST paradox.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I got in bed at 9:30 last night, because even though I didn't get up with them to go to the airport, I did wake up with my aunt and uncle at 4:30 this morning. But I also went back to sleep!

Am still exhausted.
