Oh, my mistake. The biweekly Tuesday meeting is now always at 6:45.

I had a great afternoon touring the big cat sanctuary, marred only by the other vocal animal enthusiast latching on to me and telling me about how God told her Congress should be disassembled so individual state governors could make laws and restore things to the plan in Betsy Ross' flag.

The black panther gave me a look that said "you sure about wanting me to be the one on the other side of cage bars from you?"

Timelies all!

We got a good number of trick-or-treaters last night. We didn't run out of candy, unlike previous years. However, we bought more candy this year, so that could explain it. Mr. S ended up with a pretty good haul of candy, most of which he shouldn't eat.

there's a woman I was friendly with in my father's nursing home who would be able to have a nice conversation a lot of the time, but sometimes would just yell, "this is bullshit!" for a while, and she was generally right and I expect to be her someday.

I think we should make plans to form a squad.

The more frustrating aspects of the meeting passed quickly, but boy howdy, I'm glad I was able to type things here, as saying them aloud would not have been good.

I love Big Cat Rescue. So panther, much happy, yay.

I love Big Cat Rescue, and envy eveyone who has had a chance to visit in person. There is a similar sanctuary here in Minnesota, but they are not open to the public. And they are too far away for me to volunteer there and thereby get a chance to visit.

I would like to be the yelling "bullshit" woman someday. My friend and I agreed one reason we'd never fit in here in Japan is that we would eventually go mad trying to be so quiet all the time. The subway cars are SILENT, which is one thing at 6am but middle of the day??

Today was less successful than yesterday. Today we went to a market but didn't see much in the way of actual goods (they were all in boxes!) though we did see things being auctioned off, we didn't know what they were or who was buying them for how much! And we wandered all over this random neighborhood trying to find this store which wasn't where it said it was, and forgot to go to this other place. And we've been up since 4 or 5am so my friend was super spacey and cranky all day. Which the useless wandering didn't help, and meant she didn't remind me of the store I forgot about, that she wanted to go to, u til we had already left the neighborhood. Oh well. We decided there's no way we'd see anything like all of Tokyo in two days so why bother?

But yesterday I got to PET AN OTTER!! There was a rabbit cafe that ALSO has otters!! Probably awful and I humane. But an otter!!!
