It's a particularly annoying form of anxiety that makes the actual arrival of vacation a source of panic. I've spent the past couple of months living for the idea of vacation, but now that it's here, I'm dreading all the things I mean to get done and that at the end of next week I'll need to get my brain ready to come back to work. Of course, at the end of the week, I'll be bored enough to want to come back to work, but that's a sensible thought and has no place amongst the brain weasels that want to devour my peace of mind.

Mother effers. I just spend an hour and a half working on a thing that I thought was on my plate only to hear, "Oh, that other person re-worked it and gave it to Bigwig for his review, so maybe hold off for now." I wouldn't have done anything if I had known that!
On the other hand, my coworker just shared this recipe with me, and look how perfect it is! It calls for freezing the cookie dough before baking, so then you can just bake one or five at a time!. [link]
Boo on doing unnecessary work, yay for cookie recipe!
And now: Yay weekend!!!
The recent "best chocolate chip cookie" from Kenji Lopez-Alt, I made a couple times, and did that, made balls and then froze them. I did make a small batch using the frozen dough, one day. And the other days I just ate the frozen dough. Oops.
