I am at work, which seems like a good idea. They send me Condolence Flowers! Which is nice, but makes me sad. As I'm sure most of you can imagine, I'm fine when I'm just working. Senior Colleague called me, and didn't buy my "fine" when he asked how I was, so I just told him, and of course he was super sympathetic and said I didn't need to be here at all. So that was nice, but I can't imagine doing it with all my coworkers! Yikes.

Be at work if you need to be at work. Maybe you can resort to a non-specific "Family stuff" if people press you for details?

I feel like I should tell Steph that I amused myself during the flight back by watching 8 episodes of Riverdale. This show is hilarious and soapy. People slink around with ridiculous secrets and call each other by their full names for dramatic effect.

And hooray for Netflix and their deal with the CW, so I can watch the rest of the first season.

OH MY GOD Molly Ringwald is Archie's mom.

It is super-weird to see the generation of actors I grew up with being slotted into the dad and mom roles.

My headcanon is that Fred Andrews is really Dylan McKay in the Witness Protection program.
