So, I chop the cauliflower into florets and toss it with EVOO, salt, cumin, and curry powder, and roast it in a hot oven until the edges are brown and crispy and the florets are softish. The tahini sauce is tahini, garlic, salt, lemon juice, and water. (You need to add water because when you mix tahini with lemon it seizes up. The water turns it back into a sauce. I pretty much just toss all the things into a bowl and hit it with the stick blender, and then add more of whatever it needs.)

I vacuumed and mopped and swam a horrid slow swim. Today was out of whack because it was Morgan homecoming, which means my usual errands become a debacle if I try. So I didn't. And next weekend is the marathon, so I need to borrow a tambourine again.

I think it is finally being fall, at least according to cats. They've been touching while sleeping. Pumpkin even flat out sat on Loki when there wasn't more space on the couch. It's 70 inside. Wimps.

(And yes, I have 3 40lb bags of litter in my basement. And I feel ridiculous, but also glad about the deal I got.)

Sara - talk to me about the areas around Druid Hill. I thought I had driven around there and there were nice row houses. The map I am looking at is showing it as high crime, but there is a 2-3 block wide corridor West of the park staying North of 26/Liberty Heights Ave that is a pocket of lower crime and has cute houses.

I am very tired, but from doing fun stuff and getting exercise, so that's good. The evacuation situation near my house has lightened but the fire is still only 45% contained so I'm not sure if that changes anything for my peace or mind. I've also found almost 9 acres of land in Austin that we could easily build 30+ houses on. The land cost would be less than $50K per person and then we'd have to build the houses.
