Xander: I do have Spaghetti-os. Set 'em on top of the dryer and you're a fluff cycle away from lukewarm goodness. Riley: I, uh, had dryer-food for lunch.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Ha! I have more invoices to enter. That'll eat up my remaining time and is slightly less annoying than checking the batch report.

Timelies all.

What with all the...poop...going on in the world, country, and my corner (northern CA), I needed a break from all the negativity and awfulness on FB and the news, and suddenly remembered that since it's October, I should check in to see what the lovely Buffistas are up to. I rarely check in these days, and never posted a whole lot even way back when, but y'all are still a touchstone of sanity and love in this world, and I'm so glad to know that y'all are still going strong. Peace and love and whatever other -ma is desired!

Yard sales are Friday and Saturday in Utah, because commerce on Sunday is heathen, and you're supposed to be in church, and you'll be greatly judged by all the people driving to the stores on their way from church (yes, irony).

Hi Solange! Indeed this place is my touchstone of sanity. I hope you and yours are safe. The fires are just horrific.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Around here, Fridays are when the dealers and resellers hit sales early. Which is why my partners in crime for the almost annual gothy yard sale always push for us doing Fri-Sat-Sun. Most of my stuff sells on Saturdays, because that's when the People That Follow Me On Teh Interwebs are able to come by.

I have ordered my groceries to be delivered tomorrow, and my innate I'm-Not-Worthiness is barely making making a squeak. But the past month and a half of work, six-day-work-weeks, and at least nine hours a day with minimal breaks has taken its toll. And I don't want to haul a bunch of groceries up the stairs. I just got paid and I've got lots of overtime, so I'm happy to spend some money so a strong young person can haul my groceries. Maybe when hurricane crisis eases off I'll go back to being self-sufficient.

Paying someone to do something you'd rather not do counts as being self-sufficient in many cultures, Connie. Just saying.

So there's this Ford b&w civilian cop car I pass most walks to market. In script on the trunk is "to punish & enslave..." and I've always wondered whether it's a social commentary or threat. Today, saw the owner, a black guy wearing a jacket that read ENFORCER on the back.

I have more questions.
