Spike: We got a history, him and me. Fred: What? Spike: It was a long time ago. He was a young Watcher, fresh out of the academy when we crossed paths. It was a, what-you-call battle of wills and blood was spilled. Vendettas were sworn. It was a whole-- Fred: My God you're so full of crap. Spike: Yeah. Okay.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'm going to have SO MUCH to talk to my therapist about next week! I should make a checklist so I don't forget anything.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Yeah, I'm checking in with Emmett about five times a day but so far Roehnert Park has been safe.

waves at Zen!!

Today is the middle school softball championship game as long as the air quality is good enough. Matilda's team is in the finals!

For those following along on FB, Matilda (with no prompting from me) attended the SlayGirls meeting.

The Guinea Pigs were scratching themselves and obviously in distress so we took them to the vet. Had to be treated for mites. Now they're all doped up.

That was expensive. And our coupon for free first visit? Only applies to cats and dogs! How species-est!

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Of note, the one pig whom Hec noted seemed to have a dissolute rocker vibe to her really loves her prescription meds -- sucks them down and scrabbles wildly to keep hold of the dropper when we start to pull it away. Whole different vibe than the cat I had to wrap in a towel and sit on in order to get two drops of anything down her.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Mr. S got his flu shot today. Went fine, no crying. He is being a two year old. Sigh...

The filters were under the wire shelves along with some of the other contents of the drawer I was sure I put them in. Pumpkin is a drawer digger.

Wish I could introduce Matilda & Gwyn, they're about the same age. G also has two piglets- one is new, as her first piglet died about a month ago. My friend posted an adorable vid of G giggling with the two of them cuddled to her neck, squeaking away.

Aw Pumpkin. So helpful.

Evacuation advisory for the west side of 80. At least the information is flowing pretty well, even if I don't like what it says.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Are you on the east side, I hope? (I feel like if I were afraid evacuation were coming, I would pack the car in advance, just to be prepared, but that's me.)

So Buddy is coming along! I think he hated living in the shelter inside the pet store, but maybe he's getting lonely during the day, because he comes running right to me when I get home. And he's let me pick him up and poke him in various ways, when he just hissed at anyone who approached him in the shelter. So that's good! I had been worried about if I would ever be able to cut his nails, and it seems like I will.
