Hi Zen!

I have salad and leftover galette. Life could be worse.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Sarameg, that's an amazing poster! I think that it's worth it to spend a bit on frames, because It protects the artwork forever- plus it looks so nice.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Mandatory evacuation creeping closer to me. Still the other side of I-80. I legit don't know if I should go to work like normal or start packing up.

Winds are not nearly as high as they were last night. I should probably get some sleep.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Yikes. I hope it turns out okay.

Because books.

Hi, Zen!

Anyone have experience writing abstracts for presentations? It's just 300 words, and they keep referring to "proper abstract format," which is making me nervous.

This is just 300 words on a presentation about the future of bread, much more theoretical than scientific, so I'm not sure how formal to be.

Hi, Zen!

Sarameg, that's a lovely poster. Michael's sometimes has framing sales, if you have one in your area and can wait for a sale to come around.

Anti-fire~ma, -t.

Now I'm curious about the future of bread.

They should specify what "proper abstract format" means if they want it! I hope someone here knows. I do not.

The smell of smoke is less strong and alarming this morning, so I guess I'll go to work.

I hope the future of bread aligns with what football will look like in the future.

Because books.

Based on the symposium they had in May, the future of bread is pretty cool -- everything from farming the perfect acre (poly-crop planting and intercropping), bread as a tool for social transformation (Bread Houses in cities that establish community and provide commerce and skill training), and new microorganisms for better breads.

Next year's in the same theme, but they're inviting proposals to be selected by a committee rather than inviting specific speakers.
