Go Matt! Invest heavily in survivalist compounds?

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I would like a timeshare in Matt's fortress/artist's retreat.

So I rearranged a room and now the enormous blank wall is bothering me. But! I have a lovely high quality Alphonse Mucha chocolate amattler print from 1899 that would look lovely there. This one: [link] But! It's a whopping 38.25x50.5 and needs framing. That's going to be spendy to frame. I could *probably* build a frame myself and get custom cut glass. But that's insane, right?

(It was a freebie 15 years ago when I got $1500 of framing done on some original art. Totally a way to sucker you into more custom framing!)

I got to meet a friend's week old baby! But he was sleeping so I didn't get to hold him.

Now I'm waiting on a report to run. I've never run it before and am excited I figured out how? But it is taking foreeeeever and it's unclear how long it will be (it's telling me "status: stage 67"$

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Hello, Natter. I was way behind and now I'm all caught up and I even have some stuff I'd like to say but I don't have the spoons to put my thoughts together. I'm slowly coming out of yet another bout of depression and my ankle still doesn't work very well and I'm sleeping too much. I'm sick and tired of the state of politics but I can't stop following the news and that's sure not helping me at all.

But I'm fine. I'm working on rearranging my house and getting it cleaned up enough to hire weekly cleaners. I've lost 15 pounds since the beginning of May, despite being unable to exercise much at all. My hair is shorter than it's ever been and it's really cute and I like it. No photos, ugh. Work is going okay; they want me to do too many things I don't want to do, but that's normal for a corporate job. My cats are healthy and sassy and loud, my family's doing well, and my friends haven't given up on me yet.

So I'm fine. Right? Send chocolate and shiny things.

The weather is mad, the wildfires and other natural and personal disasters are terrifying, and housing costs too much. Love and virtual hugs and ~ma to everyone.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Hi Zenkitty! Good to see your pixels.

Zen, keep hanging in there. You might not be fine all the time, but it's ok to not be fine and keep trying.

So I get ww2 tweets from 1939 on my twitter. I might have to stop that because of how often I momentarily think they are from the fucking present.
