Moving to Michigan from LA, we were looking forward to things being cooler. Sadly, we are in the middle of a heat wave, and a house without AC when it's in the 90s is not conducive to unpacking, or anything, really.

We do have a super-loud house fan in the attic which is great once it cools down at night.

One of these days, I'll get my house fan working. But box fan in one window works too.

Dana, a non-Buffista friend who lives in NOLA also posted that video, and the expressions of horror in her comments are hilarious.

Scrappy, I took a page from smonster's book way back in the day and have a window fan that both blows air in and sucks air out? It's very effective at night.

A friend of mine lost her keys last night...for the second time in about 4 months. We scoured the bar and street this evening but no one had them (though shockingly all the bars had multiple sets of found keys!!) and the uber driver said they looked and didn't find them either. She's so mad at herself and I feel so bad for her (and also a little bad because I was with her at the bar and then left, after which she lost the keys) (she had her car re-keyed last time but didn't have an extra set made, so has to do it again. We were all like "this time can you just make like eight sets?")

wow, that would suck. Extra keys for my Prius are like $200.
