This isn't a come-on. I'm in a very serious relationship with a landscape architect.

Unfollow as fast as possible. I'm in a few MLM groups, but they are ones that *I* choose to be in. Otherwise I can't leave the group fast enough. If it is just an acquaintance that is spamming - they get unfollowed if not unfriended.

Luckily, there is a drug store on every corner in Manhattan.

I'm grateful for this. I was in such a rush due to oversleeping that I forgot to pack my makeup bag, so I had to load up at a CVS yesterday.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

And it's one thing if it's a person you're close with, because at least there's a real relationship there, and I might choose to believe that your intentions aren't entirely craven.

But person I was in a choir with five years ago who had never contacted me before? Boss from literally 15 years ago? No.

A friend of mine posts a statement every few months about please don't add her to MLM groups; it's wonderfully clear and direct. I should probably do something similar, because I'm getting added to all sorts of ones recently. I leave them right away, but it's still annoying.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Still not on Facebook. Every time I start thinking about joining because a lot of people I know are only posting there, stuff like the MLM groups makes me think again.

My sister's friend once tried to recruit me to sell a nutritional shake. She's apparently made a ton of money selling it -- like, she quit her actual job so that she could stay home with her kids and sell this stuff, and she says she's making more money than she did before -- but I am definitely not ever going to make money selling a nutritional shake. (Especially not the way she does it, posting exercise selfies and medals from running races and showing off how great her abs look after four kids.)

Yet another post about fucking lash serum. Former Boss gets one more before she gets unfriended.

All the MLM people I know try to get me signed up for those nail decal things, or "essential" oils. (They are not, most of the oils sold by those companies are a tiny bit of natural oil, blended with synthetics, and mixed with carrier oils. )

Does The Watchtower have a social media presence that you could helpfully steer her toward?
