I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I fell back asleep after waking up at 7:45. Slept until about now. Had weird dreams.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I went to IKEA and bought a chair (among other stuff) so I'll have a place to sit while I wait for the movers to arrive next week. Then I bought more necessities at Home Depot, where my credit card was declined. Seconds later I got a text alert from my bank reporting a transaction was declined for suspicious activity and asking if that was really me using my card. (I had been using that card a lot here.)

I went home, logged into my bank account and changed my address.

ETA: I've never been so happy to have a chair. I kind of took them for granted before.

When I first moved up here with no furniture, not even a bed, first purchase was a loveseat so I had a place to sit & cushions to sleep on until the bed arrived. And funnily enough, had the same happen with the cc.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

When I moved to Boston, I spent a couple of days sitting on empty boxes made into a kind of seat.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Back from the Getaway. Had fun, but am tired.

Man, walking a few blocks to the office is a much nicer commute than being on a shuttle for hours! In other news, I made it to NYC with only one major packing fail that I've discovered so far.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

The last bunch of times I've gone to NYC, I manage not to bring the right toiletries, so I'm always buying toothpaste and face wash there. Luckily, there is a drug store on every corner in Manhattan.

Jesse - that has made packing so much less stressful for me. Beyond making sure I have the things that can't just be bought easily (meds, work computer, phone), I try to make sure I have the rest covered, but toothpaste, shampoo, a new outfit, shoes...those can be purchased if needed.

I've only been to NYC once and it was in January during a deep cold snap. After walking all over the place and then going to see 42nd Street, the sole of one of my boots came off completely, so I ended up buying new boots at 1am at a Skechers store. The city truly never sleeps.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That's a perfect NYC story.

And it reminds me, maybe I'm going to see about buying some rain boots when I go out for lunch.
