When I moved from VT to NC I sedated Penny the first day of the trip but not the second (or maybe the first 2 days and not the third. it's kind of a blur). She did ok after she had been sedated and gotten used to it.
Previously when she'd gone to the vet she'd managed to pee all over the carrier but going to AND from the vet.
My cats make the Chicago to KC trip a couple of times a year. They cry for a while, then sleep. It's a long time to be in the carrier (expect 8.5 - 9 hours) but I don't think they'd tolerate 2 days in a row in the carrier.
OMG, the Maru video that Good Stuff just linked to is the best one ever.

It's like Maru knew profile was going to work best for that.
I had a tooth extraction this afternoon and the whole wad-of-gauze-in-the-mouth thing cannot end soon enough. I'm starting to feel hungry, but the idea of eating just seems gross. Ugh.
Ugh, aurelia. I'm sorry.
How does Maru maintain such dignity while squishing into a transparent box?
I never dreamed that the day would come when the invisible people in the box would provide videos for the voices in my head. Living in the future. Thanks, Scola!
Loki's going back to the vet tomorrow, his lip swelled up. He's prone to kitty chin zits, and he's got two lumps plus the lip, but after major dental surgery, not messing around. And I need to doctor myself for something gone from annoying to, uh,hrm. I think I have a path for that.
Sorry about the dental stuff, aurelia.
Health~ma for Loki, and you, sarameg.
Take care of yourself, everyone!
Which I guess includes me, as I just did some googling of this shoulder issue I've had for months now, which made me think maybe I should go to the doctor? Oy.
