I survived getting my hair colored with a migraine. Not horrible, but not recommended.

oh, and Steph, I started watching Riverdale. I swear that pilot had so much of a Veronica Mars feel. SO MUCH was covered without it feeling like an exposition-fest. I kinda love that the narrator was not one of the main aspects of the pilot, wonder if he becomes more key to the action as this goes on.

I love my cracked-out show. It gets SO bonkers, but in a good way.

I think here, because it doesn't fall in any of the narrower categories (procedural, cable drama, genre show, etc.).

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

It seems kind of genre-esque to me. But I've only seen the pilot so far, my opinion is based on even less than it usually is.

Boxed Set is sci-fi/fantasy. I guess I should have said that instead of genre.

There are a couple (literally, 2) good parents, which becomes more apparent as the show goes on. But otherwise, they are total garbage human beings (though a little nuanced [A LITTLE]).

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Still, I'm hoping Jane doesn't stop napping for a while! And I'm sorry that ltc seems to be getting ready to stop. Can you have her do "quiet time" in her crib or her room for an hour (or a half hour, or whatever she'll allow)? Note: we tried that with Rose and it really didn't work at all, but several other parents have told me they were able to get their kids to do it.

I wonder if those parents were supported by day care in that? I was also one of those daycare kids not-napping at naptime, so I imagine I was used to having to be quiet for an hour with just a little adult interaction. (I don't actually remember my own time in daycare, but when I worked at a daycare center, we didn't do much for the no-nappers -- maybe let them draw? They definitely had to be quiet, and the staff definitely had other stuff to do in that time.)

I mean, also some parents are just lucky.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Thanks, Kate. I put her in her crib not sleeping for an hour today while I tried to deal with my headache. (How is it Teppy and I always have headaches/migranes on the same days?) And when my inlaws arrived and went to get her in the crib she was playing with the poop in her diaper. So I pretty much win the worst mother of the day award. She won't really do quiet time at home unless the TV is on, and I try to limit that. I'm hoping it is a skill she'll learn in school. The biggest problem with no nap is that she is wild and cranky by dinner time and has trouble calming down enough to eat.
