I'm a vision of hotliness, and how weird is that? Mystical comas. You know, if you can stand the horror of a higher power hijacking your mind and body so that it can give birth to itself, I really recommend 'em.

Major house~ma to Pix and ND - that place looks fantastic. How far is it from your current abode?

Hey y'all. I have been so far behind in Natter and have finally caught up. Tons of ~ma and love to those struggling and heaps of hurrays to those who have had good things happen.

For anyone not in Bitches or on FB, I started fostering for a dog rescue three weeks ago. The first two weeks I had very sweet dogs and was happy to give them some loving and then send them off to the adoption events. Both were adopted the weekend after I fostered them.

This week I brought home two puppies. They were total goofballs on Sunday, Monday, and part of Tuesday (I had to return the girl Tuesday because she is getting fixed today). She alternated between sleeping on my feet or just snuggling up to me for loves and then being the aggressor in starting wrestling matches with the male. The male was a tad more aloof. He happily participated in the wrestling matches, but when she would bark at something, he simply followed her and watch whatever was going on. In the process he stole my heart and I have a foster fail already. With the female at the vet today, I just have Crowley. He played great with Jack yesterday, slept with CJ overnight, and now he is napping in my office with me. I will get the female back later today and will foster her the rest of the week. But Crowley...he is staying.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Yay for Crowley!

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Oh my god everyone is irritating today.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Except for Crowley, evidently.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Gah, I woke up with a migraine and have an appointment in 2 hours to get my hair highlighted. The smells may kill me. (I know I could reschedule, but there's a family wedding next weekend, and I am vain and want my hair to be shiny and blonde in the pictures, and I need to just get this out of the way now because I don't actually have the spoons to reschedule.)

Mostly I just wanted to grouse about it. Therapeutic grousing.

I'm sure Crowley is never irritating.

I am unreasonably irritated about one of the irritating things, which is another writer correcting a "typo" in something I sent her. Of course I make typos, but if you're going to pull that shit on me, you better be right. Which she wasn't.

And she didn't even ask me for clarification. Just "fixed" it for me and let me know.

Grrrrr.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Yes. Signed, thank goodness for almond milk products.

Yes, this happened to me, too. And it took me a couple of months to figure out what was going on because I wasn't paying attention.

Great. It's happened the last two times I've eaten ice cream. I haven't noticed it with cheese yet, and I very rarely drink milk. Hmm, come to think of it, I usually drink iced lattes from Starbucks in the summer, and I haven't felt great after. Must continue to investigate.

Hooray for Crowley! Congrats, Suzi.

Argh, Steph. That would drive me nuts. Grouse away.

I can still eat cheese and yogurt, because they have less lactose in them than milk and ice cream. YMMV. I carry lactase pills with me at all times, just in case I end up ingesting stealth milk, but once I figured it out, and realized that cheese was okay for me, it's been pretty easy to deal with. But those first couple of months where I was making myself ill and couldn't figure out why were pretty unpleasant.
