Our wings are not tired.

Yay for starting the week with a bit of relief.

Hurricane is completely distracting me when I have a lot of work to do, and step-dad is going to move to rehab today. My Florida loved ones can and hopefully will evacuate, but I am really worried about the people in the islands. This storm is ridiculously strong.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

This is the problem with these hurricanes -- hoping they don't hit my friends and family still usually means they are hitting someone else's! And of course Haiti is right in the path, as always.

I'm sorry about the hurricane worries, Laura. That's one of the things that worry me about living in the Keys or other Caribbean islands—they're so small and the weather can be so big.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Good luck to all in Irma's path! We did a little just-in-case stocking up yesterday.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yes. Do not like.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

No more shoes.

Unless they're Fluevogs, in which case I may have a pair in my online cart.

Laura, much ~ma to all of you. I'm hoping Irma heads out to see and spares the islands and FL from any major damage. We're keeping an eye on it up here, because one of the models has/had it coming up the Chesapeake Bay and stalling right over Harrisburg. Do not like for any of us.

Jesse, I love/hate that. Whatever I did is a HUGE deal to me, but NSM for anyone else. Brain, get your act together, please.

I'm sorry, Liese. Not having a spouse anymore, regardless of the reason, is fucking tough. Just because it's the right thing doesn't mean it's easy.

Either that, or put your money where your mouth is! Or whatever the right cliche would be there -- I looooove not dealing with a thing because I am anxious about it, so therefore I get to be anxious for a longer time. Awesome.

OHAI! Have we met?

Radio went wonky, hair didn't want to dry, badge broke off & I had to go back for it, first day of school clueless traffic patterns, forgot plant and fresh box of kleenex; today is going well.

Tuesday had better stop acting like a Monday.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I finally got the offer letter for my new job, so I was able to complete the application for the apartment. And I delayed the date the movers will pick up my stuff here until next week Thursday. So that's helped my anxiety a lot, but now I'm anxious about the apartment application. Looks like they're gong to also contact my old landlord for the place I lived at from 2001 - 2009. The place I had to move out of after the Great Bedbug Fiasco of Aught-Nine.

I've read that you shouldn't lie on rental applications, so on the application where it asked why I left that apartment, I put "Landlord did not renew lease." So I'm totally paranoid the place I applied at will reject me for this.

Me as well, although I've made a little improvement on this issue lately.
