It's really terrible.
And now to add a bit of drama, my younger brother took his FIL and his toddler with him on a trip to Tahoe with his 9-yo daughter for some sort of hockey weekend for his daughter. So that's one adult English speaker with 2 kids and a smart Chinese 65-year-old with not a word of English.
What happens? The FIL gets appendicitis. And it's complicated and they have to keep him for a couple of days on heavy antibiotics before they operate, and there's my brother with a toddler and a 9-yo, 200+ miles from home. So this morning at 5 am my niece & her bf drove my SIL up to Tahoe to get the kids, because the toddler needs to go home and someone who can communicate with him has to stay with the FIL.
It never rains, etc. But I'm also worried about trouble coming in 3s.
Oh dear! That is a complicated mess. I hope the FIL does well with the surgery. No doubt they were all looking forward to a lovely weekend together. Ugh.
Oh, man, Consuela. I sure hope there isn't another shoe lurking. That is plenty of shoes for anyone.
Seriously, more than enough shoes!!
No more shoes.
Last Druid swim this morning. I'll miss it. One of the old guard was going around collecting contact info, to keep people apprised of news and any events. "I only started CC this summer.." "Girl, I've seen you every weekend [not quite], swimming in the rain & Alvin told me you were the only one in the pool nights this week. You are one of us."
I love pool people. Baltimore pool people especially.
Oh god, Consuela. That's too much. Fingers crossed for some calmer waters for all of you.
Y'all, I know this will come as a surprise, but it turns out, divorce is hard.
