Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

How about, "What are the next steps in the process? I could start three weeks (or possibly sooner) after receiving notification that you are hiring me."

tommy, I wouldn't do anything indicating official acceptance of this possible offer until you have benefits info.

Job is 6-month contract to hire. We've agreed on an hourly rate for the 6 months. PTO would be the only benefit (I think) until I'd go to permanent. But yeah, gotta find out what the permanent benefits are.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Would you be moving? You might want more time than that?

Yes. My boss said two weeks notice would be OK so I could have a free week to move. I've been assuming I could find an apartment through online sites so I wouldn't have to visit to look at apartments.

I'm also assuming I can arrange movers during the three week period. Or else rent a truck and hire movers to load and unload it.

Am I assuming too much?

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

There's a guy in the US Open whose first name is Tennys.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I admirably resisted replying with "You mean 'send the files to the author FOR THE FOURTH TIME'?")

Yeah, don't resist that any more.

There's a guy in the US Open whose first name is Tennys.

That is the best thing I've heard today.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Does he have a son who's a poet?

Wikipedia to the rescue:

Although Tennys Sandgren is a tennis player from Tennessee, he is actually named after his great-grandfather who did not play tennis and was not from Tennessee.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Fucking Ronnie.

Ronnie went all Tino on you.

Congrats, Tommyrot! Erin can probably tip you to some cool stuff in KC.
