They should film that story and show it every Christmas.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Pictures on FB just made me realize that if I'd planned better (or at all), I could be floating in the pool and watching the eclipse.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Luckily, now you have seven years to plan!

Our wings are not tired.

Niece just called me and she has qualifying welder's helmet and a homemade viewer. I'll be heading there shortly.

I managed to figure out a spot outside without being in direct sunlight.

Thrive to spite them

M and I were picnicking in his yard. Walked to the park and realized it was nicer at his hiuse. Did pick up eclipse glasses and now we are in the shade at his house playing Fluxx and enjoying the day

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Cloud cover again, it is noticeably cooler, though.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

I'm at the planetarium on campus for a 2:00 show, which will let out in time for our (95%?) totality at 2:43. They are having a party out there with food trucks and a make-your-own-poster thing, and other stuff. It's also a thousand degrees outside. I'm glad to be in the a/c for a few minutes, and I love a good planetarium show.

It's amazing to me that it doesn't really seem any dimmer. I'm sure there's some fancy science explanation for that.

It's dimmer here! But that's the clouds, we're getting socked in.
