Alabama schools are so fucked. Many are keeping them inside during the eclipse, because liability. Despite some having school provided glasses. And this is at one of my nephew's whitey segregated schools (I'm glad they have access to the best schools in the area, I'm fucking sick of the moral calculus that is forced by white supremacy. And yes, my brother & I have talked about it. We agree he chose his kids and used his privilege over principles and that has its own reckoning.)
My nephews will be home, watching with glasses from Australian eclipse, because privilege.
