I'm getting in Saturday evening and leaving Wednesday morning. I'm meeting up with an old college friend while I'm there. She lives one state over, and we sort of planned the trip via Twitter DMs.

I'm rather excited. It looks like there's a ton to do in Halifax, and we'll be catching part of the Busker's festival as well as multiple chances to catch fireworks. We're also taking some sort of harbor sailing cruise on Monday, which looks like the one full day that we'll be there when there'll also be sun.

I'll be back Monday afternoon/evening if you want to get together for lunch or dinner or tea/drinks on Tuesday. I'm working on Tuesday, but I am also right downtown if you're in the area.

Also If you want any recommendations for things, I'm happy to give them.

I've considered just mailing all my stuff to my destination and taking only a small carry-on on the plane from now on. Flying has become so fraught and unpleasant. Can't put electronics in your check-in luggage, but have to take them out of their carefully-packed bag in the security line. There has to be a solution for this that makes carrying more than one electronic device something less than a nightmare.

I haven't had anything other than coffee today, and I know I should eat something, but I'm not hungry and kind of don't give a damn. Also, everything on the edges of my field of vision is kind of...spinning, which doesn't seem like a super great thing. But everything on my computer screen is in one place, so that's fine. t edit And my post sounds coherent to me, so I'd say I'm not in any danger. Unless this is a situation where it only reads as coherent to me but to everyone else it's just a series of pound symbols, percentage symbols, unrelated capital letters, and the occasional numeral.
