Look, Angel, I know you've been out of the loop for a while, but I'm still evil. I don't do errands...unless they're evil errands.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

The Final Jeopardy answer last night was "echidna" and I got it right by knowing it's one of only two mammals that lay eggs (and Platypus was not a Greek goddess). So thanks, billytea, for the echidna knowledge I've gathered over the years.

I was watching that going, "Platypus, platypus -- how is platypus Greek?? But it's platypus -- NO IT'S ECHIDNA!!!!"

I'm having one of those days where I hope maybe I am getting a cold so I can stay home and lie on the sofa all day.

This is what I'm going with. The rest of Chez Volans have been down with colds for two days so it's plausible. After I finish forcing Dr. Jerkface to actually do something I'm retreating to a sofa and blanket.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Platypus, platypus -- how is platypus Greek?? But it's platypus -- NO IT'S ECHIDNA!!!!

I think I could reach enlightenment using this as my mantra. Koan. Whichever.

I was feeling icky Monday night and was hoping I would feel equally bad Tuesday morning because clearly that would mean I should stay home and curl up on the couch all day, but no such luck.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

A driver at work just casually said that we should go to the opera together (I had just said I needed to practice fancy make up in case I go to the Academy Awards this year).

He is married and has 3 kids.

Unacceptable.

I think we should all stay home regardless! And yet? Somehow in this job I can't give myself the day. I'm not even really getting anything done! But I'm in the office, goddammit.

That is weird, msbelle.

I have a cold. But since I work from home it just means I'm not going to my coworking space,so I don't infect them. It's not fun. But can't take off work.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

However, two things are worth noting: first, a male may stay attached to a female for months at a time.

New metaphor for the 21st century!

Matilda is home sick today, and snizzling while listening to the Hamilton soundtrack via earbuds. I had to tell her to stop singing along.

Hey, David, did you see Microsoft's new desktop PC? It has a dial you can place on the screen, that you can use to manipulate stuff.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

This I actually have seen—more than one minor pro hockey player delaying their return home to Canada so they could get medical care under their US doctors. May have been something about familiarity with the team's doctors though.

Probably a combo of that and their treatment being low-pri so they'd have to wait for it.

Yikes!

And our Marvel/Disney pitch is tomorrow. Somebody's going to move on our patent!
