Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

Coding and Sleeping

This weekend I did mowing (split about 70/30 with my son), weed-whacking, brush-chopping, vacuumed upstairs and downstairs, shampooed the upstairs carpet, collected garbage, collected a bunch of recyclables, cleaned a bunch in the basement, did two loads of laundry, two loads of dishes, prepared two dinners, made a big grocery store trip, designed letterhead, did some website work, and changed the oil in my car with my daughter. Yesterday evening I hit a wall though, and could barely stay awake.

Somehow I still have more than I can get done on my to-do list tonight.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Stuff needs to come off your to-do list.

I don't know. I always feeling like I'm coming up short on getting things done.

I don't think she means come off the to-do list by getting them done. I think she means it as "someone else does it or it doesn't get done."

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

"someone else does it or it doesn't get done."

Our wings are not tired.

Gud, when you collapse from exhaustion, or have a nervous breakdown or heart attack, you won't be able to keep up with the chores. I'd suggest preventative measures are better than fixing stuff after you are broken. You need to get some balance. Both your work life and your home life suffer from you being stretched too thin.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

After runnng my errands, flopped on the couch for a little nap to see if that would help my headache. I just woke up, 3.5 hrs later. I guess I was being too ambitious, thinking I could swim tonight. If an hour of errands knocks me this flat...

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

You did 19 things.

Seriously, over the weekend I got groceries, took the kitty to the vet, and (maybe) washed dishes.
