Much overdue thanks for the birthday wishes - last week was overwhelming. I was in New York to see DH off for a week, a new book went on submission (many thanks for the ongoing ~ma - it is very welcome [also dear editors please read and like things faster kthxbai]), puppy madness on my own for 3 days, then an event in Philly, then flew to Boston (where I saw Connie!) and 4 straight hours of programming, then an unfortunate creeper thing, then another event, then I flew home. What day is it?
I love being on panels with Naomi Novik. That is all.
super excited about The Weight of Water - del Toro's new creature from the black lagoon movie - cannot find the trailer link but it looks amazing.
ETA - happy house, Scrappy!
Congratulations, Scrappy!
Yay Scrappy! You did say you would have room for visitors, right?
Whirlwind hippocampus! Hope you find more relaxing moments this week.
Speaking of hippocampus, hoping for the best for McCain. I agree with him about like absolutely nothing most of the time, but always hate to see that kind of diagnosis. I've had mixed feelings about him over the years. I generally think he is probably a sexist pig, and a two-faced politician, but he has his moments of straight talk and is way more patriotic and public service minded than the occupant of the White House. I also wonder if his really bizarre behavior in the recent hearings was a result of this brain situation. His questions were really out there and he seemed super disoriented.
hippocampus - I saw the trailer, I think ... it looked interesting. I'll see if I can find the link.
I'm certainly not a fan of McCain, especially the way he's handled Trump, but that's not a diagnosis I'd wish on anyone.
I wouldn't mind if McConnell and Ryan got particularly bad cases of hemorrhoids.
Property Brothers: Where the fuck do these people live that a 1600 square foot house goes for over a million dollars?
Yay Scrappy!
Drat, I meant to try to see hippocampus.
Where the fuck do these people live that a 1600 square foot house goes for over a million dollars?
Near me, potentially (the internet tells me it's $763/square foot in Cambridge, although I'd guess that's some fancy tiny places.)
