Well, quite a lot of fuss. If I didn't know better, I'd think we were dangerous.

It's back. It's the same Kindle. And it still has the same problem.

That sucks. What's the problem?

Speaking of technical things, I've been too busy to make any progress on the new site for awhile. However, it's still on my agenda.

This is so cool. My book narrator made some drawings of some of the characters in my book. Amazingly, they don't differ much from how I envision them.

Cog - The Main Character

Essy - Cog's puzzle-solving best friend

Quinten - Cog's timid, other major friend

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Last night I managed to figure out that it's something to do with Windows 10 and the Kindle, which shows as "not registered" when I look at error logs. There's some incompatibility between the hardware and the computer.

I tried rolling back the most recent Windows updates, but that didn't fix it.

Those are super-cute drawings.

Have you tried uninstalling everything Kindle and reinstalling it?

I don't use Windows so I'm not very familiar with hooking up a Kindle to it.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

What do you plug the Kindle into the computer for?

I do a lot of side-loading things onto my Kindle with Calibre.

How else do you get the fanfic on the Kindle?

Yes, I have a lot of stuff I side-load. My old Kindle was jailbroken, so I could have my own screensavers and let Calibre control the collections. But the current version of the Kindle software is not jailbroken yet.

I've been poking at drivers and stuff, but nothing I've messed with has helped yet.
