Fred: So you don't worry that it's possible for someone to send out a biological or electronic trigger that effectively overrides your own sense of ideals and values and replaces them with an alternative coercive agenda that reduces you to a mindless meat puppet? Shopkeeper: Wow. People used to think that I was paranoid.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Aw, good for Celest. I'm glad supervisor stepped up!

Happy birthday Mr S!

Our wings are not tired.

What a well composed and thoughtful letter. Best of luck to Celest.

Congrats to Mr. S and welcome to the terrific 2s!. I loved the 2s with my boys because it was the beginning of much better communication. Also they transitioned away from being all mom all the time and more into dad. (that could have been no more nursing and more dad provided junk food too)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Happy birthday, Mr S!

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Motherfucker, my Kindle was misbehaving and Amazon said, oh, we'll replace it!

It's back. It's the same Kindle. And it still has the same problem.

Oh, even better, it works when plugged into my husband's computer. So the problem is somehow with my computer.

Decided at the last minute to join a month neighborhood walk. About a dozen of us. A little over an hour. At least there was a breeze, cause it was still kinda hot. Between this, neighborhood wine night last night & the 90th anniversary celebration for the EGL neighborhood this Saturday, I'm all sorts of neighborhooded up! Met some new people too.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Took Squeaky to the vet yesterday to have the tartar cleaned from her teeth and to have a tooth extracted. They said they'd call me today to see how she was doing, but they didn't mention how long the bandage on her leg (where they put the IV in) had to stay on.

The vet didn't call me until 7:44 PM. Squeaky had removed the bandage herself several hours earlier.

Dr. Google told me this was fine, and the vet agreed.

Watched Stand By Me for the first time in about 30 years. I had forgotten how much I loved that movie--in fact, I appreciated it more as an adult.

Tomorrow I drive to the Twin Cities to see Queen with my brother and nephew.

I'm glad Squeaky got her tooth extracted the normal way. I'm still traumatized by the other night. Loki is fine.

I'm glad Loki is doing better.

Squeaky is mad at me because I keep giving her pain meds. Otherwise she's doing fine, and actually likes the renal support canned food sample they gave me. (She's at the very early stage of renal failure.)

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Any ideas for bathing suits for semi plus size DDD cups that also offer support/push up?

I usually order my bathing suits from Figleaves. They're expensive, but they work. I get tankinis with built-in underwire bras -- one-piece suits are always way too long for my torso.
