Loki will cost way more than my root canal (under $300 without the filling.) But I have insurance and banked old hsa funds for me. Without insurance, my root canal would be slightly more than his likely 4 extractions+ blood work. As a datapoint for earlier conversations.

Gawd I'm tired. Not even looking forward to the trip, just too much going on.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Poor you and poor Lokes!

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

So my failure to work-from-home yesterday was because the network was down! All day yesterday and half of today. I tried to do some filing, but without the network or a working printer I couldn't print file folder labels so...

I withstood the urge to get a fancy cocktail on the way home, and instead have a sorta-cocktail with Pisco, ginger syrup, and lime on the porch. Not too bad, all things considered.

So I made a decision. I'm putting Loki on the predental abx now, calling to confirm tomorrow. If they say not necessary, I will continue but "spill" the meds before the actual work and get new. BECAUSE HE BROKE HIS TOOF. And I'm leaving in week and a half and while my friend catsitter is well versed in kitty drama, I don't want that on her. Shhhhh.

Which reminds me, need to take my abx. Such a mess.

Our wings are not tired.

{{sarameg and Loki}} May today be a much better day.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Sounds like a good idea, sarameg. Poor Loki and poor you!

I booked this "meeting room" (which is an unused office) for an hour for a conference call and finished the call in record time. I'm really tempted to stay in here with the door closed until 9 just for the solitude.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

That sounds like a brilliant idea.

I just finished my 9AM meeting which started late, ran long, and was not riveting. At least there was tennis.

The downside is the keyboard is at an unergonomic height and I only have access to an old version of Excel. So I'll be going back to my cubicle in a few minutes, but it's been a nice change while it lasted.

Not sure how well I'd do resisting that temptation.
