I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I hope that was entirely successful, sarameg, and happy belated!

Happy hippocampus day!

I have come to the conclusion that being awake is for chumps.

Happy birthday, sarameg and hippocampus! Sarameg, I hope you recover smoothly from your root canal and I'm glad it wasn't too bad -- I really hate them, and I have had 2. (Must go floss.)

I am taking the morning off (although I just made a couple of estate-related calls) because I slept poorly and woke up with an upset stomach. Will probably work from home in the afternoon, despite the epically-slow connection to our servers.

Yesterday I did a 10-minute arms-and-abs workout my sister recommended on Youtube. It's pretty good, not too difficult, although the woman is annoying perky and keeps talking about how flat this will make my belly. It will NOT make my belly flat unless I go on a really strict diet, and I wish she would stop saying that! OTOH my arms are pleasantly sore, which I need since I basically stopped climbing last year (most of my climbing partners drifted off).

I also went to a workshop on getting dogs to go through weave poles for dog agility (I have so much to learn!) and saw a super-cute agility Corgi. (Like this.) . Then I made a chocolate-banana cream pie and went to see Mamma Mia at the local community theater.

About which, well, good community musical theater depends on 3 things: enthusiasm, good voices, and a good book--songs and script. This show had only one of those things, because it turns out that ABBA is not a songwriter on par with Cole Porter or Rogers and Hammerstein, sigh. So that was a disappointment.

Happy birthday, hippocampus!

I love this a lot.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

To be clear, I'm not annoyed at Bride. I'm annoyed at Best Man (who is a giant racist misogynistic abusive ass who I avoid like the Black Death whenever possible) for his inability to communicate (and possibly plan), so that the labor had to get shifted to Bride. I mean, he skipped right over having Groom contact Tim and had Bride contact me. Which, now that I think about it, is entirely unsurprising.

Absolutely. Men actually do have the ability to share information and make plans, they might be surprised to know!

I would be interested in that recommendation! Starting yoga once a week again makes me remember that it actually is good to do stuff with my body and maybe once a week isn't enough.

It's the craziest thing, I know.

I don't know, I hear men lack connections between the hemispheres of their brains, I can see how that would be a hindrance in communication, and maybe planning. No offense, guys, it's just biology!

My husband's friends used to try to pull that and I just flatly refused. Which probably meant we didn't get invited to as much stuff, but I'm okay with that.

The numbness has completely gone, so am left with the throbbing from all that digging (I have a fifth root, it turns out. And scar tissue from the original root canal 10+ years ago. Do not recommend.) And I've got to schedule the filling after the final part, which is just before I leave for Alaska, which will mean another disrupted week.

It's Rebecca Louise, she has a whole bunch of videos. This is the shortest one I've found, although I think the "narrow pushups" are really hard.

Sorry about the throbbing, sarameg.

I think I got the one last life insurance policy thing resolved, yay. I haven't heard from the tax preparer in weeks, argh.

And now I should try to do some work.

Oh yikes, Sara.

Cool, thanks.
