Sounds like a good birthday, Sara!
And hope hippocampus's is as well!
Is it the place in New Orleans? (N7) Or is this a thing in other places?
It's a thing everywhere now, I guess? This place is here.
Happy belated birthday Sarah! Good luck with the dentist!
Thanks you all!!
Happy Belated Birthday Sara! I hope the root canal goes smoothly.
Happy Birthday, hippocampus! And happy book submission day!
Well sarameg, you deserve a multi-day festival to celebrate your birthday. Happy belated birthday! It sounds like you had a lovely day.
Crap, I realized this weekend that I'm already a couple of weeks overdue for a hair cut/color, but looking at my calendar, I don't think I'll be able to get into her until next week at least. Ah well.
I'm so annoyed at the emotional labor that women have to do. Our friends are getting married in 3 weeks. Best Man sent Tim a message that literally said "I am organizing [Groom]'s bachelor party." No info on date, time, etc. So Tim's reaction was basically "...okay?"
The bride just messaged me and said "[Best Man] is trying to organize [Groom]'s bachelor party and hasn't heard back from Tim. Can he go?"
Raaaaaaage.
So I had to reply to the bride that Best Man offered up no details, so Tim didn't know he was supposed to commit to something that had no date, time, or details. It's not the bride's job to wrangle the Best Man's failure to plan, AND I am not a secretary for my husband.
Oh HELL no. That is ridiculous.
"Can Timmy come out and play?"
To be clear, I'm not annoyed at Bride. I'm annoyed at Best Man (who is a giant racist misogynistic abusive ass who I avoid like the Black Death whenever possible) for his inability to communicate (and possibly plan), so that the labor had to get shifted to Bride. I mean, he skipped right over having Groom contact Tim and had Bride contact me. Which, now that I think about it, is entirely unsurprising.
