So sorry that this has decided to be Rabid Wednesday with its extra Mondayness. I'm thinking I probably don't want to know anything about either sad or rabid puppies.
Working, but being a bum at the same time. I stepped in a hole in my sister's yard and twisted my ankle yesterday. It will be fine, just swollen and ouchy today. And I must have hit the wrist and knee on the other side going down because they are ouchy too. Oh well. This too shall pass. Unlike the alt-right, which shows no sign of passing any time soon.
{{{Jilli}}} I'm sorry about all the awfulness! Yes, the chiropractor will help.
Hope things turn around fast, Jilli.
Did NOT get punched in the face, no. Sorry for the ambiguity. I assume it's my sinuses expressing their displeasure with the existence of some pollen or other.
Now I'm a bit concerned he might be a bit further to the right than I was thinking.
Back away.
Is it wrong that I wonder which is pricier, tooth extraction via vet or tooth extraction via dentist?
Out of pocket, vet. Darby's teeth cleaning last month was staggeringly expensive. Bloodwork + fluids + anesthesia + in her case a chest x-ray because they thought they heard a murmur.. and that's before you get to any actual cleaning or extractions.
Both vets and dentists are crazy expensive. Particularly since the visits are generally less than fun.
Oh no, Jilli! I hope you can stay very still surrounded by soft things until you are better.
What is Rabid Puppies?
That whole Hugo Awards clusterfuck? [link]

I like the Banfield Wellness plan, which is essentially pre-paying for services (twice-yearly exams, vaccinations, de-worming [for kittens/puppies], neutering [if necessary], dental cleaning, etc), but spreading it out as a monthly payment. Plus the prices of the services are reduced for plan members. It makes it a lot easier to budget for the services that pets really have to have.
We pretty much stumbled onto Banfield when Kato, Toke, and Slinky got so old that they started having health issues more frequently. Our previous vet, who was wonderful, is 45-60 minutes away, depending on traffic. We just couldn't do that when someone was having an issue every 3 weeks. Banfield is super close and the vet is really great. She was so, SO wonderful with Kato. (I still can't type his name without tearing up a little. I say I want another dog, but I think what I really want is my Kato back.)
This Wednesday should be fired. Ptui.
I'm forcing myself to do things I don't want to deal with because I already feel like crap, so why not go all in on the UGH.
Oh ferfuckssake. Bad enough that they won't do the root canal until Monday because they want me on abs 3 days, but the prescription for abx they were to call in? Nobody has it. Even though they made me take a first dose before I left. So that was a fucking waste of time. And of course they were closed when I tried calling them. And they made me miss my fucking swim.
I'm six days into low to moderate pain, I can't eat much unless I'm prepared to hurt some and I'm running out of patience to deal with anything, including stupid little mistakes.
