I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I hope you find your days in bed restorative, msbelle. Sorry the movie didn't work for you.

I have an old Hoover upright that keeps on working. Given that my cat sheds his bodyweight in fur weekly, I'm pretty impressed.

I hope you can get some dental help today, sarameg.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm in the office, and have to make myself do work. I have stuff to do! But could easily just dick around all day.

OK, I'm going to get reviews done RIGHT NOW.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'm working from home, and just about everyone else I work with is taking PTO today. The urge to dick around is strong, but these reports aren't going to update themselves.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I have today off because I have Mondays off; I have Tuesday off because I have off the Tuesday following the weekend that I work. It's a happy coincidence that there is a holiday.

Oh, that's nice, WindSparrow! I mean, I assume it's nice to have off the same days as most other people at least some of the time?

The urge to dick around is strong, but these reports aren't going to update themselves.

Exactly.

I have finished two reviews! Now I just have to do the hardest one.

Our wings are not tired.

I am working, but I suspect that most of my doctors have the day off so it has been super quiet. I am watching Elementary, which can be paused in the event of a phone call.

I rather like having Mondays off, expect for when I get back to work later in the week and I've got a bunch of emails wondering why I didn't respond to things yet. And the times I set an automated out of office reply that seems to make people's responses weirder.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Those of us in my office today only have to work half a day, but I brought in 2 dozen muffins as a treat anyway. Half are cranberry-almond, the other half are apple pecan spice. Yay for Mark Bittman's super easy muffin recipe...

Went to the county fair yesterday, and on the wall in the quilt competition was an image of Obama walking away from a dripped mic, and the words "We miss you". So unexpected and cool. (It didn't win.)
