Don't you just love this party? Everything's so fancy, and there's some kind of hot cheese over there.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I realllly don't want to work today! And yet? I'm supposed to.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I took today off to recover from traveling. So glad I did, as I went to bed at 8:00 last night and slept until 10:30 this morning.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm glad you're getting a chance to rest, tommyrot.

I haven't been on an Amtrak train since I was a kid. We use to have train tracks about half a mile from home. You could hear the train whistle in the middle of the night if you were up, but it wasn't so loud that you couldn't sleep through it. Mom said she loved it when I was a baby, because when she'd be up with me at 3 am she'd hear the whistle and know she wasn't the only adult person in the world wide awake.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

When I came back from work, the house at the corner of our street and the highway had a bunch of Sheriff's Dept. vehicles parked and officers milling around, and there was a big homemade plywood sign on a tree reading "REPENT 4 JUSTICE." I do not have a reassuring feeling about this.

Hivemind, I need your help. I'm trying to put together some small "care packages" for my team. I have 8 people who are my direct reports for the Con. So far I have the following...

small pack of tissues
pack of tic tacs
a few packs of Emergen-C
a few tubes of Zip Fizz (B12 based energy drink mix)
some Andes candies

I feel like I missing another something. I'm considering getting a pack of crazy bandaids and throwing a few in each package. Everything has to be for their personal use as we can't give food or first aid to attendees. Maybe tiny Purell bottles? Where would I find them? Another fairly inexpensive item?

On the last day of the Con, I have Thank You cards and $5 Starbucks cards to give them.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Some kind of protein bar (Kind, Luna, etc) and a bottle of water?

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Some kind of cute pin, Suzi? Or cute lanyards?

I'm pretty sure those are in the travel section of the drugstore, and you might see other ideas there as well?

Overall, this sounds so nice!

Oh, hand sanitizer is good. Help avoid the con plague. And it's better optics than a surgical face mask.
