And because I didn't want to pollute the previous post, have another.
I was idly discussing political matters with friends, as you do, and I quipped, "Get 45, Pence, Ryan, and McConnell in a locked room with me and an uzi, and I'd willingly commit suicide by Secret Service, so long as I got off four good shots first." There was nodding, of the 'I know how you feel' nature, as they and I accepted the hyperbole.
Thinking about it, I can't swear it was entirely hyperbole.
Also, I need to make a grocery run, which ain't happ'nin' today. I'm having a very Teppy lunch of extra sharp cheddar on the last of the multigrain bread, the cheese so good I cut an extra sliver to eat plain, and a thing of string cheese. Dinner will be a fistful of leaves in compensation.
Soooooo much cheeeeese! I've been trying to reduce my cheese consumption and increase my fiber (veggies, oatmeal) until my innards decide they're back in balance. I may be having cheese withdrawal.
Mmmmmm cheese. I need to finish my current worksheet. Do my timesheet. Log off of work. And go make some cheesy toast.
Then I have to write 2 discussion posts and make headway on 2 papers.
What are folks doing this weekend????
I have training from 9:30 - 4:30 tomorrow, then hopefully dinner and games with my DCC family. Sunday I'm meeting up with part of my DCC team to go through our supply inventory to make sure we have everything we need for set-up on Wednesday.
DCC countdown = T-4 days to set-up and T-6 to the Con. Did I mention I have to have all my homework done before then?
I want to finish my Wonder Woman chats with Captain America in war-torn London fic. As well as hem some pants.
Workbook done.
Timesheet done.
Logged off of work done.
Cheesy toast...not done. Gonna make cupcakes for my DCC family instead. About half our crew has had birthdays this month and I want to take goodies.
We are going to pick up a little used teardrop camping trailer we bought, to bring the dogs and cats cross-country. DH and his brother are driving and they are going to have a blast.
then going to see "The Big Sick," the new movie by Kumail Nanjani and Emily Gordon about their early romance. I can't WAIT.
Also, the plan is to try not to obsess about our house sale. The new buyer sent us a HUGE repairs request. We sent a counter offer and now we are waiting to see if we can agree. This is where we lost our last buyer and I am extremely nervous. Like muscle-under-my-eye-jumping and waking-up-several-times-a-night nervous.
Teardrop trailer? Be still my heart! Too cool.
I'm finally seeing Wonder Woman tonight!
Hang tight, Scrappy!
