Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I love celery more than I love cilantro.

Do they make swim goggles that go over glasses? I left my name and number with the guy who coordinates swim lessons at the community center, so an instructor will get back to me. The guy said I should get swim goggles and a cap.

Our wings are not tired.

Snorkel goggles would. Not sure how comfy it would be.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

...running shoes...MINT GREEN. With purple-y accents.

From the Riddler collection?

Not that I know of, but they do make prescription goggles, but it's an investment. TBH, most of the time in the water, my goggles are so fogged up I just see general shapes, but I don't wear glasses. Goggles are primarily advisable to protect the eyes from the chlorine & so you can kinda see generalities. Like the marker indicating a wall is ahead.

I'm always amused that I can I'D guards and regulars by their fuzzy gait/posture. Some days it's, oh, that's Kelly. But she got braids & extensions. Or whoa, Toni buzzed her 'fro. IDed solely by how the fuzzy form moves.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Celery pieces in soup or stir-fry are a BETRAYAL.

This is how I feel about onions. I like celery.

Since we don't seem to have another thread for this, I will announce it here: I have been gifted by the Secret Solstice Santa!

I got an awesome insulated bottle that has ROBOTS on it and a wonderful ROBOT card!

Thank you Secret Solstice Santa!

Thanks, sarameg. I will consider prescription goggles after I see if I take to swimming laps the way I have to lifting weights.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Oh! quester's post reminds me that I am finally about to use the iTunes gift card that a secret Buffista (I think? Unless it was part of my Secret Santa gift from Anne W.?) sent me over the holidays. Thank you, whoever you are! I have been saving it and wanting to spend it wisely, and since I don't buy a lot of music these days, it took me a while to think of the right thing to spend it on. But I finally remembered that you can rent movies from iTunes! So I will be using it to watch Mad Max: Fury Road (finally!) tomorrow, during a rare home-alone day, plus another couple of movies-to-be-determined later on.

I am unreasonably excited about this plan! ...Can you tell I don't get out to the movies much anymore?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

ISTR that you can get relatively cheap swim goggles with some kind of standard corrective lenses, kinda like reading glasses? If that would help. And if it is true.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

IDed solely by how the fuzzy form moves.

I've always been really nearsighted with a bit of astigmatism, but I didn't get glasses until I was 15, so I thought this was how everyone recognized each other.
