Gunn: The final score can't be rigged. I don't care how many players you grease, that last shot always comes up a question mark. But here's the thing. You never know when you're taking it. It could be when you're duking it out with the Legion of Doom, or just crossing the street deciding where to have brunch. So you just treat it like it was up to you—the world in balance—'cause you never know when it is.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Yay, brenda!

I do not have a 5 day work week at all this month. Just kind of worked out that way.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Just finished my last call. Here's how my day has gone: I am still in my pajamas, and I had pita chips and Cheetos for lunch because those are what I could reach from where I am sitting. Basically, I have not been two feet away from my computer (or off the phone) pretty much since 7 AM.

Um, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say, despite the jammies, that is not a good work/life balance. Hope this was a major anomaly and that tomorrow is WAY better.

not your mom's socks.

Also, if your father happens to answer with a gun he got for xmas and tells them very politely no thanks and please don't knock again, they never will? (The gun was happenstance - he didn't take it to the door on purpose. There's always a gun for xmas, right hippocampus?)

You summoned me?

YES SIGH. Also your dad omg.

Jilli this story delights me.

I finished book and sent it places (not Septemberish book, another book). Consuela helped at the 11th hour, you all poured various support in at all the right times, and Sparky is making me acquire some sunshine next week. I may sleep for a month.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yes. Good.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

New books, sunshine, and sleep all sound wonderful.

I am still at work. Probably another 90 minutes.

It looks like TPTB may shoehorn another show into our season (to replace the cancelled one) which will cut into a week I had planned to take vacation. My lack of planning is turning out for the best, I guess, since I haven't spent money on travel plans yet.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Congratulations, hippocampus!

aurelia, I'm sorry about the vacation.

Huh. Hello, monopolies.

Remember when Amazon was just that cool website where you could find that book you were looking for?
