Wow, tommy.
Thanks to Prague, and the apparently rampant corruption among taxis, I'm using Uber for the first time. There's a lot I don't like about the company, but that's my option here.
I wish they weren't assholes, because this is super convenient.
Excellent news, brenda. Congratulations!
At 6:30 when it felt like my body was finally ready to sleep, I gave myself permission to come in to work a couple hours late. ION Welbutrin ain't quite the thing this time around.
Thank goodness for people who are proactive -- I was just trying to figure out how to ask my team member who's been out sick kind of a lot what's up, in an appropriate way, when she told me that she's just been diagnosed with some weird thing and is working on it! I told her to talk to HR about FMLA to make sure everything is covered, and in general feel better about the whole thing. Phew.
I couldn't afford to live here alone if my parents hadn't bought the house in 1979 or whatever.
Yep, I'd be lucky to rent a room in my house if it hadn't been purchased in the 70s.
As soon as he paused for breath, I said, "I wouldn't work with anyone who cold called me", and hung up.
Jilli's my hero.
Also, if your father happens to answer with a gun he got for xmas and tells them very politely no thanks and please don't knock again, they never will? (The gun was happenstance - he didn't take it to the door on purpose. There's always a gun for xmas, right hippocampus?)
Bwahahahaha!
This going to work five days in a row thing, I don't like it.
SERIOUSLY.
Wow, Brenda, that's awesome! Fingers crossed!
I went to an author event at the local indie book store and told the author she owed her niece (my friend) a toaster for recruiting me to her books, she told me she has a friend who lives in Utah who, whenever her doorbell is rung by Nice Young Mormon types, grabs a copy of HER book and proceeds to tell the NYMs about this book that changed her life. I told her she owed the friend a radar range. (Are those still a thing even?)
ltc ate half an avocado, strawberries, cheese, and some rice. She rejected a quesadilla and roasted vegetables. Both of which she used to love. This was after no eating much all day yesterday. Today seems better although she started crying about a bath at lunch.
I bet she will love those things again one day.
I'm probably not going to get to swim tonight because of damned computers. And stupid coworkers.
Those are not things that should affect swimming. Boo.
Computers are notoriously bad swimmers.
I am literally sitting twiddling my thumbs because someone took a long lunch and a disk got corrupted. I am very unamused.
