Because books.

It's normal, sj!

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Not a lot of first-hand experience, but it seems like TONS of friends' kids have gone through the same thing at that age. She'll make it through to the other side!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Thanks. She wouldn't care if I went to Mars, but she is TCG's shadow and gets upset when he leaves the room. Any advice with the tub? A couple of weeks ago she loved it. Then she pooped in it, and now she is terrified of it. Scrambling to get out and visibly shaking.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I hope cooling down does the trick, msbelle.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

It looks like War Paint won't get anything. Costume design was probably their best shot.

Oh, sj, that happens, too. She's probably scared it's going to happen again. Just be as soothing as you can be.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

sj - Kelly did that around that age and it had the same effect. We did a few washcloth baths which she decided she didn't like even more than the tub and we were able to go back to the tub. Getting clean wasn't optional, despite crying and screaming.

Thanks for the reminder about the Tony's. Only tuning in now, which is a bummer.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I have been so reassuring and soothing and told her even if it happens again, that it's no big deal. I don't know how much of that she understands. TCG had to get in the tub with her last night, because she really is too strong, and it was the only way we could get her in the tub at all. I just bought her a doll that comes with it's own tub om amazon that she can play with. I'm hoping it will help when it arrives. We feel awful like we traumatized her for life.

Because books.

No trauma, sj, I promise. It'll pass eventually. Doing a different kind of bath, like Suzi did, might help in the meantime.
