this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I have an article about nasal function to edit for tomorrow, and it refers to 2 scales used to evaluate function: the Nasal Obstruction Symptom Evaluation Scale and the 22-item Sinonasal Outcome Test, abbreviated to, respectively, "NOSE" and "SNOT22". I am not making this up. A group of researchers named a test "SNOT".

Wow, Andi, I cross-posted with you, and I don't want you to think I was making light of your post. I just didn't see it.

That's a frustrating, helpless way to feel.

If my opinion counts, I wouldn't say you have *nothing*; I think you bring light and happiness to all of us Buffistas every day, and that means a LOT. Especially now, when everything going wrong seems so horrific, your light and kindness is very VERY needed. And appreciated.

brillig

A group of researchers named a test "SNOT".

Giggling maniacally the whole way and snickering "We got away with it!"

You gave me a sporfle. It was sorely needed, and a blessing. As are your other words. Thank you.

We do need someone to sing for us.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Andi, speaking for myself, your posts are so thoughtful and warm-hearted that even when the advice is not for me, I feel comforted by the very fact that I know you.

Thank you Scrappy.

Current political events causing anxiety attack, and somehow I came out of Wonder Woman feeling like I have to take on the world, but I can't.

I need to go back to being the best hobbit I can be.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

A group of researchers named a test "SNOT".

Of course they did. They LOVE acronyms. I had one where there was a SALSA and a GUACAMOLE.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

GUACAMOLE is an impressively long acronym!

I had a another guy who was so proud of himself because he managed to make an acronym that was basically three acronyms deep. Like, one letter of the acronym stood for another acronym, and one letter in that one stood for a third acronym.
