Happy Birthday, Gud! I hope you can do something nice.

We discovered 5 kittens in our backyard today. There are 2 black-and-white cats that roam around our street (I used to think it was 1 cat, until I saw them both at the same time). And now there are 7. The babies look to be about 4 weeks old -- eyes are open and they're able to walk around, though not over a huge range.

It is extremely good luck that I'm friends with a nun who traps and rehabilitates cats to be adopted. (Although...we may be getting a new kitty. MAYBE.)

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

I'm watching a movie set during an orchestral performance, and there's some stuff they're getting right, but it's clear the movie has no idea what a conductor really does.

Also, three or four people have spoken in the orchestra so far, and they've all been American. Which...no.
