Dana, is the recuperation bit at least bearable?

I've just bingewatched Harlots while I folded literally 6 loads of laundry. I still have one more load to fold but no more episodes to watch.

Anyone else watch Harlots?

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Oh, yeah, the recuperation is fine. I mean, I had back surgery three days ago and I can walk halfway the length of a Walmart and back. Which I could not do Thursday morning. I'm just whiny, and I probably need to go to sleep.

I'm surprised you went out: are you well away from the B2B madness?

Unfortunately, I am not. Traffic was pretty crazy went I went out at 9am to the farmer's market and got even worse on my way back, so I didn't go outside again until things started to clear up after 3pm. I had a moment where I was wondering if people were doing the walk of shame after a costume party until I remembered it was B2B, although in my defense I hadn't had my coffee yet.

What is Harlots?

I ran 11 miles, then went to a BBQ, then to a sleepover. Then we made breakfast after the sleepover and then I returned the kitten, went to a friend's softball game, had dinner with them, and then saw a women's soccer game (pro). Lots of fun, zero productivity.

The banana cream pie came out great! NOM. I love having family dinner regularly, so I have an excuse to bake things like that.

Now my kitchen and house are a big mess but I have tomorrow off so I will clean then. Maybe.

3pm? Like as a nap or you slept the entire morning and early afternoon? That's impressive if so!! Sucks that you're now v awake though.

I think one of the hardest parts of parenting must be not keeping a grudge. Earlier this morning, the kids next door were getting in trouble and then an hour later, they were teaching the little one how to ride a two-wheeler. I feel like I would still be annoyed from the earlier stuff!

As a parent I presume the ill-behavior and am thrilled at any of the good behavior so that's still a full win with no grudging.

To be fair, it really was one of the nicest days of the year today.

Then you made the right choice.

The woman helping me kept laughing at how cute one of the frames was when I tried them on, which could be a sales tactic but hey.

It's worth it just for the interaction!

Heh. I woke up to the sound of helicopter over our apartment (which is GG Park adjacent) so I knew there was some event going on. Bay to Breakers is a nightmare to deal with driving - and I've come home from my Tom Waits tour [LA to SF] and gotten stuck in it for an hour - but there was no driving in it today.

What is Harlots?

It is an historical TV show.
