Can I talk here for a minute? There's some major shit going down at work (I MEAN MAJOR) and I can't discuss it all out on FB.

To recap:

  • 1. Noah was getting picked on for having two moms and not talking about it with us.
  • 2. Katie was not hired back for her job which she had to reapply for because of the grant ending. Instead they hired some student teacher dude who can barely teach his content (math) and has never taught CS.
  • 2.5 Two of the four women on the hiring committee actively and vocally disliked Katie and to some extent me.
  • 3. I decided to leave. My new school looks kick ass but I've been fooled before.
  • 4. As a result, our kids have to move back to their former school and all that entails.
  • 5. Katie is mostly likely going to file a grievance.
  • 6. But, you guys, big time bad shit, I think is coming down on the Principal and Assistant Principal for stuff not related to this fiasco.
  • 7. Grace's nurse Mignon is taking a new job starting in a week. How will we get through the last two weeks of school?!?!

I'm tired and nervous and overwhelmed.

Kat, that is chaotic, stressful, and... other not fun things.

msbelle, 14 minutes instead of 45. Same number of miles, I think.

It is. But I'm also excited about new job. I'll teach all of one grade. And I think it will be the first time I've worked with kids who have a passion for something.

Jeez Kat, that sucks. But I hope it all works out great in the end eventually? Ick.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

That is a lot of shit, Kat.

I got a nice couple hours of sleep. And then I dutifully mentioned to the nurse that the compression sleeves around my ankles weren't hooked up. Preventing a blood clot is more important than sleep, but it's going to be a long night.

And I got almost no sleep last night because of the pain. And I think the AC in here is broken.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Wow, Kat. That is too much shit.

No sleep is rough. Hosptals are supposed to restful, but they aren't.

Christ, Kat. That's way too much and a STUDENT teacher? Those fuckwads.
