brillig

I need to buy a vacuum. But first I need to get all the boxes and junk off the floors. But first I need to get some more shelves so I can get stuff off the floor.

There is empty space in the middle of my rooms. It makes me weirdly nervous, like I'm wasting it. 30 years with a hoarder will do that, I guess.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Today I drove by and the regular Hillary sign was gone and in it's place was a hand written sign that said HILLARY in red white and blue. I don't know what happened but maybe someone vandalized the original sign. It was cool to see the hand written sign.

My friends' Hillary sign got stolen recently, so they got a new one and added the note, "If anyone messes with this one, we send $50 to the Clinton Foundation." LOVED THAT.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

Okay, I'm officially starting to feel queasy with nerves.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I have work to do but I can't concentrate. As has been true for months now. Man, I need the world to settle down for a while.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'm here, and I'm listening, and I'm very fond of all of you.

You are such a good presence to have around, Karl. Thanks for that.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Surgery~ma for your dad, msbelle.

I have SO MUCH to do, and I have no ability to concentrate today.

My house is a wreck, the puppy is still not sleeping quietly at night, and I just keep making stupid mistakes at work right now.

I want to go vote before everyone gets off of work, but I'm not sure that's going to be possible.

PA is reporting lots of calibration errors with the voting machines and it's all been about R votes being changed to D, so everyone is screaming, "Rigged!" but what they're failing to take into account is that the local counties having issues are all heavily R. Facebook is a cesspool right now.

Ugh.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Just passed my polling place on the way to work--polls won't open for another 40 minutes but there are already five people waiting.

I had about a half hour wait to vote. Never had to wait before.

Matilda's school has a bake sale on Election Day because their school is also a polling site and people that are standing around in line will buy the brownies.

So we made lemon cookies last night and she was going to decorate them with HRC's logo until I realized that we can't campaign within the polling site. So she went with "Vote" and Vote with hearts ("That's my favorite," she said. "Vote with love.") and checkmarks.

I'm not worried about HRC winning. I'm worried about the Senate though.

Still, I think that HRC's ground game, early voting turnout, and massive efforts by the Dems to locate and turn out previously unregistered and unlikely voters is going to have her win over her polls.

Some of the key Senate races are dead heats: NH, Indiana, Missouri. And Nevada is really close, but I think the Dems turnout plans there will make the difference.

And it looks like Ohio might be in play for Clinton. I'd given up on Ohio but it's within 1%.

Should be a 50/50 Senate with Harmonica Dad casting the deciding vote, but we might squeak to 51.

Our wings are not tired.

Yeah, I am more nervous about the senate and house races. I don't want the new president to be saddled with haters.
