You know, if Comey somehow ends up being the person who takes down Trump, I can't decide what that is. Cosmic justice? Bitter irony? Proof that Loki runs the universe?

I'd be amused. And grateful. Words I never thought I would use concerning Comey.

I think the question of why they think they need Trump in place in order to ram through their granny starving agenda is a good one. Why not Pence, or Ryan for that matter? I don't think I have a good answer for that one yet, but my vague and unformed thoughts mostly swirl around the idea that they think Trump can be framed as the fall guy when the poor, white, rural voters lose all their social services, and/or Trump's popularity with their base means they can burn off a bit of his social capital with those voters and still feel OK with their gerrymandered margins for 2018.

Oh and on a much happier note, shiny-object~ma, hippocampus!
