I don't give a good gorram about relevant, Wash. Or objective. And I ain't so afraid of losing something that I ain't gonna try to have it. You and I would make one beautiful baby. And I want to meet that child one day. Period.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

The painting?

Reader, I ordered it.

Our wings are not tired.

Yay, Andi! You deserve it.

Bless the old doggies, every one.

Because books.

Yikes, brenda.

And yay, Andi! Nice call.

Part of me would love to have a puppy next time, but most of me wants to adopt all the senior dogs.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I feel the same way about my next cat, Amy.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Amy, why have I never seen pics of Franny? This is surely a gross oversight and must be corrected at once.

Frankie is about 8 1/2. He' s definitely gotten gray around the muzzle and some on his paws. He sleeps a lot, but always was a kind of a lazy pup. No medical issues yet. I'm counting on his relatively small size (35 lbs) and mutt genes to keep him healthy a long time.

Dana, some Benedryl might help with the napping sitch. Just a thought.

I have Franny pictures on Facebook! She's such a sweetie.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

70 lb boxer/pit! Oh, she sounds adorable. I well know that getting in the way of a strong wagging tail feeling -not Walter, but his friend Floyd.

I don't know if I can get another dog after Walter, he's been remarkably easy his whole life. OTOH, I don't know if I want to be dogless. And then the whole puppy or older dog question. Future -t's problem, a long way off I hope.

Herding cats for fun

I've adopted three adult cats over the years. My friend Floyd, bless his heart, gave me no trouble at all. He was really grateful to be taken in.

Grace was a terrible bitch at first and I remember posting about her progress with me. Beverly even suggested her name. She calmed down and relaxed eventually and spent her last hours on this good earth lying on my lap, gazing at my face with her beautiful eyes.

Ellie walked up to my door during freezing cold weather, which we never used to have in Hayward. She sat on the porch and made friends with all the cats (except Grace, of course). I really didn't want to have six cats, but I made an exception for her and we are so glad we did. Her putting us to bed service has been just one reason she is awesome. Today she is only one cat away from being the oldest.

Adopt old pets. They are nice.

Edited because someone else remembers Friend Floyd.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Our old man, Truman, is the sweetest elderly dude imaginable. He has arthritis and doesn't like his evening walk, but if he doesn't have the walk, he gets up in the middle of the night to go out. The last few nights, he has taken to veering into the bedroom and going to his bed on his way to the backyard. He doesn't lie down, he just sits on it with his back to the door. Yeah, dude, you're not fooling anyone.
