I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Yeah, I would if it was bad enough. It's just slightly vexing right now.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That's a very common side-effect. Bummer that the nap didn't take!

I have finished one stupid project that got dropped in my lap and probably should've been done by accounting but whatever it is finally done. Unless Sales comes back with something to add to it. Now to rush Walter to get a bath before his vet appointment...

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

You guys, I made this half-assed larb, and it's so fucking good! Basically I think anything with fish sauce and a little sugar is delicious.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I'm currently on morphine and trump is still stupid.

Anyone who missed why I'm on morphine, you'll have to go to Bitches, or Facebook for photos. I'm outta spoons tonight.

But i read everything and love and congrats and ~ma to you all.

Larb is pretty darn easy to make, too. In fact, we should make some.

So easy! So delicious! I only wish I had an herb garden, so I could have multiple kinds at once without buying packages that go bad when I'm half through.

Mm, larb.

Hi Zen! I'm sorry this isn't all a nightmare that would end when you're off the painkillers.

I have lately been telling myself that I will infuse oil or vinegar or something with the excess herbs next time I buy a whole bunch to use a tablespoon. Could happen.

Walter has fleas and an ear hematoma, and the heart murmur he's had for years is worse. Frontline and Advantage are losing their effectiveness, I'm told, so we'll try a prescription chewable. His lungs sound clear apparently, so that's good. And there's an anti inflammatory that's indicated for arthritis and less hard on the liver than what he had before, so we'll try that. Poor old dog does not like coming to the vet, but I think he'll feel better once we get some of this treatment going. Draining the ear, decided against the surgical option because while his blood work is that of a much younger dog I don't want to sedate him unnecessarily.

Because books.

Aw, Walter. How old is he, -t?

I would love to know how old my Franny is. They said they estimated between 8 and 9 when I adopted her, and that's was 18 months ago. She's still lively a lot of the time, but she's also content to sleep for hours on end. And when she's tired, just getting up on the couch seems like an effort. Her muzzle is all gray, too. (Uh, Franny loves carrots. I love her so much.)
