I don't know about you guys, but I've had it with super-strong little women who aren't me.

Thrive to spite them

Go msbelle I hope you have good luck.

I keep getting messaged by guys that either habe they want kids in their profile or talk about it after messaging me. I have it indicated 2x. Once where you could pick that and also in my profile.

I'm open to someone with kids but I'm not having kids.

I don't know if it' WORSE than writing an online dating profile, but self-evaluations at work are up there.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That's what I'm supposed to be doing now. That or other people's evaluations. Guess what I am not doing!!

On the upside, I got a nice compliment on an email I drafted for someone, and then he wrote back to correct "Jess" to "Jesse"! Which is probably because he has an oddly-spelled name himself, but I appreciated it.

OK, this is a minor issue, but I'd appreciate input from the hivemind. I rarely use a hair dryer - my hair is short and I usually let it air dry. However, sometimes I do need to use one. The one I had for years (and years) was a small Sunbeam - I think it may have been designed for travel, since it had a little button that you could use to switch voltages. Well, the little button popped off, the handle tended to separate and the last time I used it, I saw sparking inside through where the button had been. Not wanting to electrocute myself or short out the electricity, I dumped the dryer.

Now I need a new one. I've looked but I run into the fact that every new dryer I look at has one of those big plugs (can't remember what they're called) - they have a test/reset feature. I know it's a safety feature, but I live in an old building and the outlet in my bathroom (where I prefer to dry my hair) is in the light fixture over the mirror. It's close to the wall and I can't plug one of those big ones in there - the space between the wall and the light cover (the outlet is right between them) is too small.

Has anyone seen a hair dryer that has a plain, old two-prong plug?

I think in that situation, I've just used an extension cord.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

My Curlmaster 1875 has a two-prong grounded plug (one plug is slightly larger than the other, but no reset button etc)

I love your dating profile, msbelle! I hope somebody fun and nice finds it.

I do not have curls, I don't know why I bought a Curlmaster hair dryer, probably it was cheap?

Hivemind - has anyone taken an online class NOT toward s degree or certificate and not part of a multi-class program. I am looking for like a continuing ed thing, cheap, but something that would require me actually doing homework.

Everyone has mentioned all the ones I've tried (Coursera, edX, Udacity). You also could look up community colleges to see what online courses they offer.

Dear lord, did I somehow lose my glasses off my face while eating breakfast? How is this possible?

ETA Yes, yes I did. Found them. I clearly need more sleep and that's all I'll say about that.

And to be clear, I'm pretty sure you can take edX courses toward a degree or certificate for $$ but you can also just take them one at a time for free.
